Ruling angel of the
HASMALIM
. Hasmal is a fire-speak-
ing angel who surrounds the throne of God. “Hasmal”
denotes primeval wisdom and wonderful light. Accord-
ing to the Zohar, Hasmal is associated with a hidden,
inner sphere in which the mysteries of the celestial let-
ters of the Holy Name are suspended.
