Angels-PUCK

The word puck originally denoted a type of fairy and was an alternative
term for hobgoblin (a helpful goblin). Because of Shakespeare,
however, the central character in A Midsummer Night’s Dream—a mischievous
fairy named Puck—is now most often associated with this
word. Like certain other inhabitants of the fairy realm, Puck delighted
in playing pranks on people. Although perpetually preoccupied with
entertaining himself, he was, however, also capable of compassion for
wronged human beings.
